I am pleased to announce that Rev. Tyler Boyer has been elected to serve as interim Superintendent of the Gateway Conference. It is important for you to know that he was elected with 95% of the votes.
We are grateful for Rev. Boyer’s willingness to serve in this role and look forward to his installation on Saturday night of the Leadership Summit.
For those who may not be aware, Rev. Boyer will be serving in an interim role because the conference is in conversation with denominational leadership around the denomination’s initiative to create a new network of annual conferences in the U.S.
We will have significant conversation at our upcoming Leadership Summit about this initiative and how it may or may not impact Gateway. I look forward to working closely with Superintendent-elect Boyer and the Gateway BOA to lead the conference in a season of spiritual discernment about the future of the conference.
I also want to thank the Gateway Conference Superintendent Selection Committee for its excellent work in bringing a qualified nominee to the conference for election.
